Way ahead of the curve...as usual

Finally, a politician that is reading this blog...or acting as if he is anyway.
Senator Bob Menendez (D-NJ) has proposed a 60 day suspension of the federal gas tax. Hmm..wasn't that suggested here a couple days ago?

Oh yeah, it was. I rule.

But I digress. Other plans include oil companies sending consumers (not sure how that's going to work, since there's no way to differentiate between who has paid for gas and who hasn't) checks for $100, extending the tax credit for businesses who purchase hybrid vehicles, and drilling in ANWR.

WHAT?!?! Drilling in that pristine, beautiful, moosefilled, virginal, wonderful, gardenofedenlike place?
Yep, I told you, politicians are grasping at straws and nothing is out of bounds to address the problem. Luckily, we have some people on the Republican side of the aisle who have proposed addressing the supply side(FINALLY) and hopefully we can get it done.

But do we really expect that any out of touch, limosine riding, party punk from DC will be able to actually 'fix' anything for us? Nah. We have to do it ourselves. Per usual.
