Political correctness gone mad

Guess the title to this is actually redundant, since you have to be insane to actually think that something politically correct is logical or makes sense.
Students at a high school in Colorado were sent home and advised not to wear clothing with any flags or patriotic messages on them. Apparently there were tensions surrounding the illegal immigration debate, and the principal, instead of inviting an intelligent discussion of the issue or perhaps some healthy debate/disagreement, quashed all freedom of expression and patriotism by declaring that clothing with any flags on them, or other display of patriotism was not acceptable wear, including camoflage patterned clothing. He said that it was to 'protect' the kids. Protect them.
Well, I'll be damned, now I've heard it all. Don't let anyone have any sort of political discussion or disagreement. Let's just all hold hands and sing 'kumbaya' around a campfire.
Obviously this guy has spent just a wee bit too much time in the thin air of Colorado, his brain is lacking oxygen.
