Clean air causes global warming

According to an article in Nature Magazine and online at Nature.com, the air that we've been working on for all these years to clean up, is actually leading to warmer conditions on earth.
Reductions in industrial emissions and use of particulate filters in automobiles and smokestacks have reduced the amount of dirt in the atmosphere and made the sky more transparent. That allows more solar energy to get to the earth, thus warming it up.

So, let me get this straight. Some people have worked since the 70's to STOP pollution (Al Gore, et al), only to find out that now, all that pollution was saving us from global warming?
Apparently there had been a downward trend in sunlight reaching the surface since the 50's (when measurements started).
Two different studies have shown that overall, the earth is increasing in brightness, except in a few heavily polluted spots in Africa, Australia, South America, and India.
I think I'll go get in my truck and drive around in the sunshine.
