But, I did finally get a response to my email to them. Today. That'd be ten (10) days after the original email. In addition to the piss poor response time, their answer was almost word-for-word exactly what it was last year. But the biggest problem with their answer? They actually DID a special logo for their servers outside of the US:
This is in reference to the following poem:
IN FLANDERS FIELDS the poppies blow
Between the crosses row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
So I'm not sure exactly WTF is wrong with Google, whether it's a situation where one hand has no idea what the other is doing, but apparently Canadian and British veterans are just fine to salute on Veterans Day, but American Veterans aren't worth the time. That's the only thing I can come up with, and I welcome any idiot employee of Google to challenge my thinking on that.
